UP FOR SALE IS ONE MY MOST PRIZED POSSESIONS, MY 2006 RAPTOR 700R. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BEATER ATV TO RIDE, THEN THIS QUAD IS NOT FOR YOU! I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR AT MY LOCAL YAMAHA DEALER ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21ST,2006  I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT. IT HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT ITS WHOLE LIFE! THE OIL WAS CHANGED EVERY 5 HOURS WITH YAMAHA ENGINE OIL AND YAMAHA ENGINE OIL FILTERS ITS WHOLE LIFE. THIS CHASSIS HAS LESS THAN 30 HOURS OF TOTAL RUNTIME. NO ETHANOL OR ETHANOL FUELS HAVE EVER BEEN RUN THROUGH THIS FUEL TANK OR ENGINE. I ONLY RUN 90 OCTANE WITH NO ETHANOL IN IT. THE BIKE WILL BE SOLD WITH A FULL TANK OF 90 OCTANE WITH NO ETHANOL IN IT. IT DOES NOT HAVE AN HOUR GAUGE, BUT THE BIKE DEFINETLY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF WITH ITS NEAR FLAWLESS CONDITION. IT DOES HAVE SOME LIGHT SCRATCHES ON THE PLASTICS. I DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO STEP UP THE HORSEPOWER AND TORQUE OF THIS ALREADY FAST SPORT QUAD! SO I PROCEEDED TO SPEND OVER 1300 DOLLARS IN JUST PARTS TO UPGRADE THIS BEAST! THOSE PARTS INCLUDED-

THIS QUAD FEATURES ALL THE OPTIONS, LIKE ELECTRIC START, 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH REVERSE, RELIABLE FUEL INJECTION, AND ONBOARD ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS. AS I AM A CERTIFIED AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN AND I BUILD MY OWN HOT RODS, I WAS ABLE TO CARRY OUT THIS PROJECT TO A TEE! IT TOOK ME JUST ABOUT 150 MAN HOURS TO REMOVE, TEAR DOWN, CLEAN, AND REBUILD THIS ENGINE. MY LOCAL YAMAHA DEALER WANTED OVER 3,000 DOLLARS JUST IN LABOR (THATS WAS WITH ME BRINGING MY 1300 IN PARTS I ALREADY PURCHASED) TO DO THE BUILD. WITH THE CLYMER FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL, I WAS ABLE TO BRING EVERY SINGLE BOLT RIGHT BACK TO FACTORY SPEC AND BETTER. EVERY BOLT IS SET RIGHT TO ITS YAMAHA FACTORY SPEC WITH AN INCH POUND TORQUE WRENCH (A FEW OF THE BOLTS HAD FOOT POUND SPECS IN WHICH CASE A FOOT POUND TORQUE WRENCH WAS USED). NO RAZOR BLADES WERE USED ANYWHERE ON THE CASES TO REMOVE THE OLD GASKET MATERIAL, I USED SOLVENTS AND A SOFT BRISTLE BRUSH TO REMOVE ALL GASKET MATERIAL SO AS NOT TO HURT ANY OF THE ALUMINUM CASES. AS A RESULT, THE ENGINE RUNS FLAWLESSLY! THERE ARE NO OIL, COOLANT, OR VACUUM LEAKS. TO THE UNTRAINED EYE THIS BIKE LOOKS LIKE A FACTORY BIKE THAT HAS NEVER HAD A WRENCH PUT TO IT! ALTHOUGH THESE SPORT QUADS ARE LABELED 700CC, THE FACTORY ENGINE ACTUALLY MEASURES 686CC. WITH THE HOT RODS STROKER CRANKSHAFT AND PISTON ROD ASSEMBLY, IT BRINGS THE ACTUAL TOTAL ENGINE DISPLACMENT TO 727CC. THAT IS AN INCREASE OF 41CC! IT ALSO RAISES THE COMPRESSION RATIO FROM 9.2:1 TO 9.8:1. THIS COMPRESSION RATIO IS SAFE FOR 90 OCTANE AND HIGHER FUELS. I DECIDED TO GO WITH A FLAT TOP PISTON BECAUSE THE ENGINE WILL RUN VERY COOL AND WILL HAVE INCREASED LONGEVITY. ALSO, WITH THIS COMPRESSION RATIO, THIS QUAD CAN RUN PUMP FUELS THAT ARE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE. THIS NEW ENGINE HAS ONE HOUR OF RIDE TIME AT LESS THAN HALF THROTTLE ON IT. THE ONE HOUR OF TOTAL ENGINE RUN TIME WAS BROKEN UP INTO SEVEN INTERVALS, OR HEAT CYCLES, WHERE I HAVE RIDDEN THE QUAD FOR 8 TO 10 MIN AND THEN LET IT COMPLETELY COOL ALL THE WAY BACK TO AMBIENT TEMPERATURE BEFORE RESTARTING. YAMAHA SUGGEST THAT TO BREAK IN A NEW ENGINE YOU SHOULD RIDE FOR 10 HOURS AT LESS THAN HALF THROTTLE, AND THEN 10 HOURS OF LESS THAN 3/4 THROTTLE. AFTER 20 HOURS OF RIDING, YOU WILL BE READY FOR FULL THROTTLE RIDING. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID, IT LOOKS LIKE THE BUYER WILL HAVE 19 HOURS OF RIDING TO FULLY BREAK THE ENGINE IN. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD THAT THE PISTON RINGS HAVE SEATED VERY NICELY AND THE ENGINE DOES NOT SMOKE ONE BIT! THE SEAT COVER IS ORIGINAL AND DOES NOT HAVE ONE TEAR IN IT. WITH THE CLYMER FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL, I WAS ABLE TO CHECK THE RESISTENCE ON ALL THE SENSORS AND THEY ARE ALL WITHIN FACTORY SPEC. I WAS ALSO ABLE TO DO A FUEL PRESSURE TEST AND THE FUEL PUMP IS RIGHT AT THE FACTORY SPEC OF 48 PSI. THE ORIGINAL FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED AT THE DEALER IN 2007 UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY, SO THE CURRENT FUEL PUMP IS NEWER THAN THE BIKE. WITH ALL THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE THIS RAPTOR SHOULD MAKE ABOUT (PLUS/MINUS A FEW NUMBERS) 55 HORSEPOWER AT THE TIRE ESTIMATED. THIS BIKE HAS GREAT IDLE AND DRIVEABILITY TRAITS SO ANYONE CAN RIDE IT. THIS IS A GREAT BIKE FOR THE TRAILS, OR FOR ALL OUT TIRE CARNAGE! INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION IS 2 SETS OF WHEELS AND TIRES. THE SATIN ALUMINUM WHEEL AND TIRE COMBO IS THE ORIGINAL THAT CAME ON THE QUAD (REAR TIRES ARE WORN DOWN FROM NEIGHBORHOOD STREET CRUISING). THE OTHER SET ARE THE SPECIAL EDITION WHEELS AND TIRES. I PURCHASED THE SPECIAL EDITION WHEELS BRAND NEW AT THE YAMAHA DEALER AND THEY ONLY HAVE ONE HOUR OF RIDE TIME IN THE DIRT AND ARE PRACITICALLY NEW! ALSO INCLUDED IS 2 BRAND NEW YAMAHA OIL FILTERS. THE STEERING SYSTEM AND FRONT END ARE ALL GOOD AND TIGHT AND STILL AT FACTORY SPEC. THE REAR BRAKE PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE FRONT BRAKES HAVE MORE THAN HALF THE PAD LEFT. BOTH BRAKE SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN FLUSHED AND FILLED WITH FRESH DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID. I REPLACED THE FRONT DRIVE SPROCKET WHILE I HAD THE QUAD APART. THE CHAIN AND REAR SPROCKET ARE IN EXCELLENTY SHAPE! THE ENTIRE COOLING SYSTEM RECEIVED A FULL SERVICE WITH THE NEW ENGINE. ALL THE SHOCKS ARE IN THEIR FACTORY SETTINGS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN MOVED. THE QUAD HAS NEVER BEEN RACED, CRASHED, WRECKED, SUNK, OR BEEN IN ANY COMPRIMISING SITUATIONS. THIS QUAD DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING BUT A DRIVER. ALSO INCLUDED IS THE CLYMER FULL SERVICE MANUAL AND THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL. I HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS FOR ALL THE PARTS LISTED ABOVE AND I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL BOXES AND STICKERS THAT CAME WITH ALL THE AFTERMARKET PARTS THAT WERE INSTALLED. WITH INTEREST, ALL THE PARTS LISTED ABOVE AND THE EXTRA SET OF LIMITED EDITION WHEELS AND TIRES I HAVE OVER $13,000 INVESTED IN THIS QUAD! WITH A BRAND NEW ENGINE, NEW TIRES, ALL NEW FLUIDS, AND GREAT BRAKES AND SUSPENSION THIS QUAD IS READY TO HIT THE DIRT! SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEXT TO NEW CONDITION RAPTOR 700R WITH WAY MORE HORSEPOWER THAN STOCK, THAT HAS BEEN METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED, AND THAT HAS DEFINETLY BEEN BUILT THE RIGHT WAY, THAN THIS IS IT!
