Maybe a small fci type of adapter from the throttle body that angles up to clear that sub frame cross brace to fit a little bit of a wider filter. Not sure about the seat clearence issues.  Or vise versa one that points down for a longer filter that goes parallel to the rear shock...... Just been thinking. An intake solution is prob what's keeping ya from breaking 70hp...

Love the lift..
and intake or not, Barkers stage 2 with just a piston makes 65-68 HP all the time..
it is right on par for a "normal" 700 build the way I understand

I'd say you're right where you should be for HP Hefe.  Add an ignition and a +2 or +3 throttle body and you are 70+ for sure.  Without those two parts, you haven't unlocked your build's potential completely.

yep, I was thinking that too
hopefully by spring the MSD will be more readily available and much less expensive, maybe I will pick one up.
throw a new piston in it (slightly higher compression) and a bigger TB and secure a place well into the 70's

the lift..

I dind't pay that much for it though

Hefe,
Once I finish the current build of my 660, I am then going to do a build on a YFZ also.
However, we are going to use a slightly different motor, & will be in the 110+ hp range, but still light-weight.
What motor I hear you ask? A mildly built RG500...............

What I was wondering was how you got on with swingarm length?
Are you running a stock length, or wherer are you at with that?
The RG I think will need to go longer than stock, but I'm not sure where to aim for & just wondered what you thought based on how your YFZ700 goes?

Thanks

we just used the stock swingarm
seems to be just fine
we thought it migh be too much of a wheelie popper, but it seems good

did you weigh the 700 motor?
or have you weighed the entire bike?

The RG motor is only a little heavier than the 450 motor (must get an actual weight difference) but will easily double the Hp
