flat track racing or tt
« on: February 01, 2011, 08:46:25 AM »
Curious if anyone had any tips on what they feel was the most important part of there setup, may it be cardio weight lifting suspension tires whatever. Also curious how most people setup a raptor to race the 450's

Its really a sum of everything you said coming together. Set up is huge though followed by rider skill level. Find what works for you.  As track conditions change so will your set up. Always something to think about. Lol

Have you  been racing your Rappy?

Depending on what racing your doing I would suggest a steering stabilizer & possibly a sway bar.
I have a lowering kit for sale if your interested.
Lowering your CG (center of gravity) will be helpful in quicker lap times.
All the power in the world is useless if your not putting it to the ground.
I can try to answer specific questions to help if you have more.

I paid $60 on Egay. Never mounted it, still new & yeah that's just for lowering the front.

I have a dog bone to lower the rear. Its a adjustable turnbuckle style......lemme look in my storage totes in the garage, when I find it i'll snap a pic in the next day or two.
