MSD Blaster Question?
« on: September 20, 2010, 01:54:59 PM »
Alright fellas, as you know i made the leap to a 450R and am loving it.

YFZcentral has quite a few members but this is more of a general question that i seek advice for.

There is a fuel controller which contains timing features like our dynatek ALL IN ONE! wahoO!

its called an MSD Blaster.

So i just ordered it and i spoke to the tech over @ MSD and he says they have it set from factory to keep the FUEL Accell pump @ 100 percent at all times.

I thought on the PCV this was a temporary bandaid do to a bad map?

I used a PCV on my 450R and it was running perfectly fine without the ACCELL pump on,

but this tech claimed that YAMAHA request the feature be build in and always on because there racers were claiming a bog or hesitation from idle.

Anyway what are your thoughts?!

Funyun would be a good one to ask, he's running this same setup right now. I know w/ the Power commander. the accel pump exactly like you said was only a bandaid fix to a poor map.
