What do you guys think the largest SAFE shot would be on a 3 mod (dual exhuast, GYTR Filter and PCIII) Raptor 700?

Lately I have been spending a lot of time near the drag strip at the dunes, and I would love to be able to crack a bottle and help me keep up with some of the faster quads out there.  This deal may just be too good to pass up.

Without a Piston in your bike, I would limit it to 20. You can run 15 all day with no problems, as I have personally done it myself on the stock piston. Keep in mind as well when comparing other brands out there that when ours hits with 20 horses at the beginning, it's still gonna be 20 horses at the end. Other kids will hit with 20 and fade to less as their bottle pressure drops.

Does you system come with a separate fuel tank and NOS bottle? I hear that I should run methanol and NOS mix on my bike. Is this true and why? If I do run Methanol/nos mix in the system is it ok to run race fuel in my main tank? In other words race fuel in the main tank running straight to the tb and methanol in the second tank running into the NPFI mixing with the NOS. IS this safe or am I totally missunderstanding?

You are NOT misunderstanding. The Group Buy system we are advertising comes with everything you need, nitrous bottle AND separate fuel tank. In your scenario where you're pushing octane limits, I would agree 100% to run Methanol in the separate tank. As a matter of fact, everyone putting a system on their raptor should be running Methanol. I am running it on my personal Raptor (I'm not making near as much power as you are off the bottle) and have seen the benefits of being able to run more timing with no detonation.

If you're not aware of some of the benefits of methanol, here's a short list:
1. Detonation resistance
2. Cooling effect
3. More power potential
4. Typically cheaper to purchase than leaded race fuel

These benefits are not limited to just modded motors, but stock motors as well. When running nitrous, you're typically concerned with detonation, overheating, etc causing problems. Methanol all but eliminates most of the concerns people have with running nitrous, better controlling detonation and overheating. Our system meters the methanol so that the nitrous system always has the correct air/fuel ratio. Assuming you have a constant fuel source, our kit takes all the tuning and guesswork out of running nitrous.

Mixing race fuel and methanol is a great idea. You will get the benefits of Methanol when running nitrous and then when you're off the button, the race fuel will clean the methanol out of the system eliminating the corrosive cons of running a full methanol system.

These are awesome questions! The biggest holdup people have with nitrous is they have watched movies like The Fast and The Furious and seen all the misinformation that gets passed around by outdated, 50 year old technologies. BOSS has brought to the forefront, the newest and most advanced technology to nitrous making it safe and efficient for everyone. What I will do to help sweeten the deal: I will include 2 sets of nitrous jets so those of you that are concerned about overdoing it can try it out and see how it goes without the fear of burning anything down. I'll include a 10hp jet that you can try the system out first with. With that small of a hit, you will have no problems with timing or going lean and still get a peak at the potential of a bigger hit. When you feel what only 10 extra horsepower feels like, you'll jump at the chance to step up to 20, 30 or more!

Let's hear it from anyone else that's interested, but still not willing to jump over the fence...

One question for me, and maybe I've just missed it over the post, but how does the fuel get controlled? I have a moristech that is hard wired into my ecu, and I wouldn't want anything conflicting with it (cost 1200 bones)

I have been thinking about trying out a Boss Noss nitrous kit for a while now, and at this price I am definitely going to give it a shot.

The nitrous fuel system is 100% independent of the engine's fuel management system. The NPFI (Nitrous Power Fuel Injector) does the metering of the fuel. It uses the nitrous to siphon the correct amount of fuel and mix it at the same time, eliminating fuel pumps, safety switches, complicated wiring, etc. As long as your fittings are tight, the system works!
