Sorry to hear about that, I can definitely feel your pain. Excellent advice from the school of hard Knocks.

I started to build mine (01 660) on a stock rod and after talking to Mike at CRS I went with the HotRods cr. I also took his advice on a few other preventative measures. I think I would have to go into seclusion if mine grenaded.

I always reccomend replacing the rod. I use Barkers rods and stroker cranks. I usually reccomend going a 4 mill when doing a rod replacement.
The cost of having the rod installed is nearly the same as buying the whole stroker crank and rod assy.

Shit happens :P

Scholle the reason I suggested those rods is because IMO and alot of the peoople i have talked to say While your Crank is apart you might as well have it Balanced and there is nothing wrong with the Raptor Crank except for the weak ass rod even Barker was running his rods on the stock crank if i remember correct...

Also I Am No Expert except on How to Wreck shit this is my Second Complete motor I Am Going by what i have witnessed fail in my motors

Barker does Have An Excellent Bang for your Buck Product to
