Need some 350 buyer's 101

Thinking of buying a Raptor 350 for my boy. Are there any serious dos or dont's I should be aware of?
Are any years better for the 350 than others? For example: I bought two 700s in 2006. Had I waited a year I would have had much better front shocks stock.

Whoa. 350 would be too big for him I think. Most kids don't even get a 250 til they are 10 or 11.. I think it'd bounce him around and it sits pretty high. If you buy him anything that is over 150cc I think it should be a 250.. at the very most..

I'm sorry I was just trying to see where your son was at.. No, the 350's don't have any negative years really and they haven't changed anything in the past couple if years.. My mom has one and it has been very reliable.

350 has for al intents and purposes, been the same as the Warrior 350. Not much changes. Pretty solid machines Warriors are everywhere, rusted out, falling apart, but still running. Still wondering if they are going to quit making it because the 250 is doing so well.

I too have been wondering when/if they were going to pull the plug on the 350. The 250 is doing incredibly well and deservedly so. But there needs to be something between a 250 and 450/700. The majority of people I see on those things look like grownups on Big Wheels. I've been holding out for a Raptor-type, hybrid metal frame to cut down on 350s weight and rust but riding season is coming (I live in the Pacific Northwest) and I need to make a decision soon.

the 250 is a great quad, but the 350 is larger and would give more room to grow in, i havent had any problems with mine besides the stock air filter clogging up almost immeaditely, solved by a k&n pro flow kit. other than that, no problems, very reliable, and decent power.
