How do 2-strokes handle water intake?

Hey guys,

Im going down to Hatfield Mccoy again next week  :clap:
In case you dont know, its know for insane mude bogs  8)

I've been donw there alot on my raptor and my dad on his grizz -- no real issues.

This time though, 2 of my friends are coming down with me, one has been down with us before on his polaris trailboss. This time though he is rockin his yz125 and the other guys is rockin a kx125.

They are looking forward to burrying them lol, and all i wanted to know is if it is much differant when a 2 stroke sucks in water then when a 4 stroke sucks in water.

Like on a 4 stroke after you flood it i know what to do... Same for a 2 stroke?

bad news... don't let the pipes get under water at the expansion chamber.. They will suck in water. Outcome is bad news just like 4 stroke though. Drain it before running it.

lol, just pull the sparkplugs, flip the quad/bike upside down and kick over the engine to pump the water out.  there is no crankcase oil (or valve train for that matter) to worry about like there is on 4 strokes.  i have sunk a few sleds in the lake in my time and have always left with them running at the end of the day.  but try not to let them run while under water if you can.   :thumbs:

Well my friends got through the trip without sucking any water  :clap:

but they get layed down alot lol but its all good
