« on: March 19, 2009, 04:16:32 PM »
I've been looking at the new Raptor 90 for a couple of months now and think I'm going to be buying this summer. Does anybody have one and what do you think about it???

I can tell you that is waaaaaay better than the old 80.  Independent front suspension, and auto trans. Seemed a little bigger too. Had my 5 year old sit on it. Seems pretty well built. THe old 80 had that leading arm front susp. which sux. Didn't get to ride one, but gave it the once over at the dealer while waiting for the 700.

We have one and it has been very good.  Suspension works well but is a little on the stiff side.  Engine runs great, as long as you remove the rev limiter.  We also have a Polaris Outlaw 90 and the Rap seems to run better.  The Pol is a bigger bike.  Wider, longer and a little taller.  Pros for the Pol is it has reverse and headlights, mainly for safety, not so much for night riding.  No reverse or lights on the Rap.  Can't go wrong with either but the Rap 90 is definitely a miniature 700 in the looks department.

I just picked one up last week for my 8 year old daughter. It is a great quad that really surprised me when I rode it around, it took me up and down the hills easily and I am over 200 lbs. It looks killer and has the power and handling to back it up! The suspension is rather stiff for my daughter, but she is only 8. This quad should easily last her many years and keep her happy.

Here is a little video of her riding it on a pretty steep uphill trail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0zCZ6T3LPw
