« on: December 07, 2008, 11:52:19 PM »
was wondering if the stock exhaust system on the 07 yfm350 have a spark arrestor and if it was possible to remove it and how??? i have taken the 3 bolts out and removed the cover. i then undid the bolt on the underside of exhaust and there seemed to be a small rim in which the inner part would come out i tried levering it with a screw driver and tapping it with a hammer but no luck. help anyone????

I used a hammer and chisel, on the small rim, to knock the baffle out. Try not to damage the part around the rim. It takes a little time to work out, but will come out.  After I got mine out I bought a Performance Exhaust Insert w/ spark arrestor for the factory muffler. It increased performance and added an aggressive sound, about $40. It slid right in and used the same retaining screw, worked great.
