???
« on: December 03, 2008, 10:11:21 PM »
I know everyone is probably tired of hearing the tire size question, but any help would be awesome. I am running currently the ITP GNCC 22x7x10 front tires with Skat Track Edge 22x11x10 rear paddles. I want to invest in some good trail riding tires and notice I have two options. The 22x11x9 or the 20x10x9. What would you prefer???? I just dont want to go too big or too small. But I am running the 22 inch front tire!

You can get the GNCCs in 21" I would suggest goin with 21 since you have 22" fronts
Cheap, Fast, Reliable. unfortunately you can only have 2 at the same time

My buddy's 21" GNCC rears are the same height as my 22" XCT rears. Both sets were mounted on stock Yamaha rear wheels and had 3 psi in them.

I'd probably go 21" or 20" on the back.

Yeah, I think I'm going to roll with the 21's. Also I like the idea of them coming in the 9 inch size to fit the stockers!

20, 21, and 22 all come in 9 inch versions to run on stock wheels.

You will love the 21" GNCCs. They work very well for my buddy. I would take them over my 22" XCTs any day.

This "Tire size question" thread should be in the Suspension or General Discussion section, not Motor Mods.  :'(

I rode on the Razr2 22". Great traction, great ground clearance, but gave up alot in cornering feel. The tire seemed to roll a bit before sliding. Very disconcerting.  I think they look silly if they are mounted on stock swingarms too. No offense to anyone. Makes the rappy look like an old school honda. With big old balloon tires.   As long as the fronts are bigger than the rear, it's cool though. Unles you are duner or dragger.

Well sure. Remember the old Honda three-wheelers? Tire pressure was the only suspension it had!
