We just got done with a long dyno day......
We started with 727 with some other dudes porting, Venom piston, X2 cam, Dynatek controller, Dynatek Ignition (non programmable), Barker Pipes, Pro Design Intake.
It made peak numbers of 62 and 50, not a screamer, but a decent runner.
We changed out his stock crank for the new Hot Rods +5.
The results are below.
68 and 58
6 hp and 8 ft/lbs for $395 you can't beat that with a stick!
The crank drops right in, no interference anywhere and no problems anywhere.
Contrary to Hot Rods warnings, we used high compression and big bore. Granted this is not longevity test, as it was just completed and the only time on it is 75 dyno runs. We have used Hot Rods cranks in the 450 bikes with similar configurations with great success. The engine does not vibrate and sounds great.
Once again, there are Mom's basement shops selling these parts for so cheap beacuse they have no overhead, don't support them. If they can't show you a shop, a dyno, a engine building section of their shop, they don't deserve your business.
