Absolutely can be done and has been done. I believe there was someone out west (racers edge link potentially?) that had a front frame built out of titanium if I recall.

Has anyone ever tried to copy and build a raptor 660/700 frame from scratch - just to see if you could do it?  I have a stripped down frame and every time I walk by it I wonder if I could bend and weld the same thing. YouTube has all kinds of frame builds for karts and buggies, but I never have seen anybody try to copy an existing frame.  Think it could be done with a good tube bender and welder?

Don't really know what to say, except to echo much of what has been said here emphatically. Kinda feels like losing that uncle who you would always listen to and mind what he said.
